About
With my background in traditional art, illustration, and matte painting, my skills have been a great fit in my roles as Digital Matte Painter, Concept Artist (Environment Design) and Commercial Illustrator. Please contact me for any inquiries or additional information.
I’m a senior digital matte painter and concept artist with over a decade of experience crafting environments for film & television.
My expertise includes strong painting skills in Photoshop, complex 2.5D projection workflows and precomps in Nuke, and supportive 3D workflows in Maya for projection purposes and matte painting support.
I have a strong foundation in traditional art, composition, and lighting, having started my journey first as a traditional artist & studying Illustration & Design before my university program in VFX at Centre NAD, in Montreal, where I specialized in matte painting and compositing.
Since then, my career has been focused on live action VFX productions creating realistic matte paintings and seamless realistic integrations for movies and episodic, and I’ve had the chance to contribute my artistic painting abilities on 3 animation movies, which has allowed me to experience both types of workflows. With my background as a traditional artist and illustrator, mixed with my technical skills and pipeline knowledge- VFX & animation movies are both a great fit. I can also help internally with client pitches, visual development on shots, and concept work focused on environments.
I’m known for being a flexible, collaborative team player who can work efficiently within tight deadlines and am eager to continue to sharpen my skills as a matte painter, learn more about leading and shot bids, for future opportunities to grow, and mentor more junior artists.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to open up discussions for future or current opportunities.
